Micromax A116 Canvas HD Announced, 5 inch HD 720p Display
Micromax’s Canvas 2 was a really successful smartphone in the Indian Markets, this device is still on high demand. Micromax A116 Canvas HD is the successor of the Canvas 2 which has been announced today at a press event held today in the Capital of India.
The display of this device has been improved a lot, with 5-inch 1280x720p display you can enjoy each and everything that runs on this display, plus this isn’t the only improvement – MMX A116 packs a 1.2GHz Quad-core Meditek processor. From the Android part, the device runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, has dual-SIM support, 4GB internal memory which can be expanded using a SD Card, 2100mAh battery and usual connectivity options.
Micromax hasn’t commented on the exact pricing of the device, but they told us that the device will be priced under INR 15,000. This is a good price indeed.
I think Micromax is all set to compete with the big players in the market, they have already proved their worth. Today MMX announced that they are leader in the phablet category in the country, they’ve shipped over 198.1K shipments in a time period of 90 days. They’ve also told everyone that they’ll be launching around 30 smartphones that will be running as their operating system.
